Terms of Service

GameComment is a community for reviewing and discussing video games. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use GameComment.

You must be at least 13 years old, or older if the law where you live requires it, to create an account. If you use GameComment on behalf of someone else, you need their permission.

Give accurate information when you sign up and keep your password safe. You’re responsible for what happens under your account. You can change your profile or delete your account at any time in Settings.

You keep ownership of the reviews, posts and replies you write. By posting, you give GameComment a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display and distribute that content as part of the service, including in our apps.

Your content is public. If you delete your account, your profile is removed but what you wrote stays on the site, shown as written by a deleted user, so conversations still make sense. Delete individual reviews, posts or replies first if you don’t want them to stay.

Write about games and be decent to other people. Don’t post:

• hate speech, harassment, threats or encouragement of self-harm;
• spam, advertising or links to sell things;
• story spoilers without warning;
• other people’s private information, or anything that impersonates someone else;
• anything illegal, or anything that infringes someone else’s rights.

Some words are blocked automatically, and posting is limited to a reasonable pace to keep spam out.

You can report any review, post or reply, and block people whose content you don’t want to see. Moderators review reports and may hide content or ban accounts that break these rules, without notice. Banned accounts can still sign in and delete their account.

Game details and cover art come from IGDB. Game names, artwork and trademarks belong to their owners. GameComment isn’t affiliated with the publishers or developers of the games listed, and reviews are the opinions of the people who wrote them.

GameComment is provided “as is”. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we can’t promise it will always be available, error-free or that content posted by users is correct.

To the extent the law allows, GameComment isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for content posted by users. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be waived.

We may update these terms as the service changes. When we make significant changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If you keep using GameComment after a change, you accept the updated terms.
